CYE Podcast has also collaborated with and helped inspire and guide multiple new podcasters to start their own podcast.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Eric Hicks, aka Cuzzin Rick, aka Icepick, the creator of Close Your Ears Podcast to find out how this whole thing started.

Q: Who is Icepick:
A: Honestly, just one of many nicknames I have… it came from playing basketball, talking trash, and telling the people I was playing against to call me Icepick, the nigga in the yard doing life, it was funny and it stuck. Once everyone heard my close friends call me by that name everybody in my hood started calling me Icepick. When I knew I was gonna start a podcast I knew Icepick could be a character that could be the face of my podcast. Icepick is just an unfiltered unapologetic opinionated character you may see on my social media page or hear on my podcast. He’s a good dude though.

Q: What made you decide to start a podcast?
