This Imaginary Influx of Violence
Ear we go again: Trump’s rally turns into a surprising earful
A few days ago, there was a sniper on the loose here in Charlotte, NC, allegedly just driving around and shooting people at random. As my son headed out to work, all I could do was tell him to be careful, pay attention to his surroundings, and tell his friends to do the same… just as I often do. You know, the usual mom stuff.
I hate to be nonchalant about this but the violence is so rampant in this world that I never even bothered to follow up to see if they caught the sniper in Charlotte. It’s just another tragic event in a never-ending cycle of bloodshed and chaos. In the midst of it all, I just go about my days as usual. What’s one more tragedy in the grand scheme of things?
What chaps my ass about The Assassination Attempt on Donald Trump is the fake outrage and fear tactics that us regular people are spewing all over the internet. The media no longer has to do it. I saw a few comments that read, “it’s going to get crazy out here now”… “GOING, to get crazy” ummm we’ve been here. It’s like folks are giving Trump supporters more power than they actually have while making it seem like those people aren’t already violent and hateful. One thing is for sure, they’re not going to do anything except continue to get punched in the face…
